Dangers of Social Networking Sites Dangers of Online Social Networking Sites: For example, there are a lot of news about Myspace and Facebook If you're thinking this is about sexual predators, it's NOT so calm down. There is plenty of information all over the Internet on that subject. If you are scared, just control your account settings and make yourself answer whether or not you are headed in the right direction. Even if you're not, you can focus on learning why and take steps to correct your compass. On myspace, you don't know how many comments I get that seem to indicate a perception that somehow I'm different. **HOGWASH** I keep saying it only because it's true, I put my pants on one leg at a time just like you probably do. When I started out online I thought it was a safe place but it sure isn't. Just be careful of what you post on social networks and if you still don't feel safe, just leave the site! ANYONE can learn this stuff if they apply themselves and read a lot like I did.
